General Terms and Conditions

1. Basic Provisions


1.1. Introduction

These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter: GTC) govern the booking process at Indawood (location: 3235 Mátraszentimre, Petőfi Sándor utca 2/2; hereinafter: the Apartment House), the rules for possible cancellations, as well as the legal relationship between the Apartment House and the Guest (hereinafter: Guest). The GTC also includes the method of handling complaints.


1.2. Legal Background

Hungarian law is exclusively applicable to the GTC and the legal relationships arising from it. For issues not regulated by the GTC, the provisions of Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code (Ptk.) and relevant Hungarian regulations shall apply.


1.3. Availability and Modification of the GTC

The current GTC is available on the official website of Indawood (www.indawood.hu). In the event of modifications to the GTC, the updated version will be published 15 days before it comes into effect and will only apply to bookings made after it takes effect.

1.5. Definitions

  • Guest: The natural or legal person making the booking.
  • Deposit: The prepayment made to finalize the booking (50% of the total accommodation fee).
  • Apartment House: Indawood, as the accommodation provider.

 

2. Creation of the Booking and Service Contract

 

2.1. Booking Process

The booking is made through the website www.indawood.hu After providing the necessary details for the booking, the Guest finalizes their booking intention on the online platform. To validate the booking, the deposit amount must be paid immediately by credit card, or within 3 working days via bank transfer. The booking is considered final once the deposit amount has been credited to the Apartment House's bank account.


2.2. Booking Confirmation

The Apartment House will send a confirmation email for the booking. If the confirmation is not received within 48 hours, the Guest is relieved of the booking obligation.


2.3. Cancellation Terms

  • Cancellation more than 30 days before the check-in date: The full deposit will be refunded.
  • Cancellation within 30 days before the check-in date: The deposit is non-refundable.

 

2.4. Modifications

  • Changes to the booking date are possible, depending on availability, with a written request at least 14 days before the intended arrival date.
  • In the case of modification, the cancellation terms remain unchanged, and the original (first) booked period is decisive. Therefore, the deposit is non-refundable in the case of cancellation of the modified booking date if the modification is made within 30 days before the arrival date.

 

2.5. Service Price

The prices displayed for the Apartment are always in Hungarian forints (HUF). The prices are gross, meaning they include the legally prescribed VAT. The prices do not include the so-called tourist tax (IFA).

The prices may vary depending on the booking period. The Apartment House defines the following 3 booking periods:

  • Weekend, 
  • Weekday, and
  • Peak period.


If a promotional price is introduced, the Apartment House will fully inform the Guest about the promotion and its exact duration. Promotional prices are valid for a specific period.

The prices displayed on the website include all costs related to the Apartment, such as utility costs (water, electricity), air conditioning use, the use of the Apartment and its equipment and furnishings, the right to use shared areas, final cleaning costs, bed linen and towels, and the use of the hot tub during the stay. 

Electric bicycle rentals and extra services (such as heating the hot tub, firewood for grilling and the hot tub, early arrival, late departure) are available for an additional fee.

If, despite all the care and attention of the Apartment, an incorrect price is displayed on the website, the Apartment is not obliged to sell the Apartment at the incorrect price.

In such cases, the Apartment will offer the Guest the correct price for the service, and the Guest may cancel the booking intention based on the correct price information.

An incorrect price is considered to be, but is not limited to:

  • Obviously erroneous, unrealistic pricing that significantly deviates from the widely known, generally accepted price of the service;
  • A "0" HUF or "1" HUF price due to a system error;
  • Any other price showing a conspicuous imbalance in value.


The Apartment disclaims responsibility for any errors arising from data entry mistakes, incorrect, erroneous, etc. price listings, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

 

2.6. Payment Methods

The Apartment House will display the total amount for the stay, including the deposit, on the written confirmation sent to the Guest, specifying payment deadlines and the necessary bank transfer details, in case the Guest did not pay the deposit by credit card during the booking process. 

The following payment methods are exclusively available:

  • Credit card payment, or 
  • Bank transfer to the Apartment House's OTP bank account: 11701011-21460296. 
    • At The payment reference must include the booking identifier/Guest name, booking period. 
    • If the booking identifier is not provided or is incorrect, the Apartment House will be unable to identify the payment and will not fulfill the service contract. 


The booking fee must be paid in advance, and the remaining amount, including the tourist tax (IFA), must be paid no later than 3 working days before arrival. 

In the case of a bank transfer, the day the amount is credited to the Apartment House's account is considered the day the payment is completed.

Regardless of the chosen payment method, the Apartment House does not store the payment details entered. These details are handled by the respective payment processor, and the financial service provider's privacy policy applies to the data. The Apartment House does not block any amounts; the blocking and release of funds are performed exclusively by the Guest’s card-issuing financial institution.

The Apartment House does not charge an additional fee for payment, meaning it is free of charge. However, the payment processor company (bank) may charge a fee for the payment according to its own terms and conditions.

The Apartment House – after notifying the Guest – may cancel the Guest's booking without legal consequences in the following cases:

  • If the Guest selected a bank transfer, and the card-issuing bank does not authorize the transaction or the payment does not arrive within the specified deadline;
  • If the details provided by the Guest are not accurate, incomplete, or do not allow the service to be performed.

 

2.7. Invoicing


Advance Invoice

Based on the details provided during the booking process, the Guest will receive an electronic advance invoice for the deposit via email, sent to the address provided at registration in the case of payment by bank card. If bank transfer is chosen as the payment method, the advance invoice/payment request will be issued accordingly, and its settlement will be due within 3 business days to finalize the booking.


Final Invoice

The final invoice will be issued 2 or 3 working days before the arrival date. The final invoice includes the items booked by the Guest, the remaining accommodation fee, and the tourist tax. The Apartment House will issue the final invoice based on the data provided during online check-in.

If the number of people was recorded in the Apartment House booking system during online check-in, and the system automatically generates the final invoice based on this, the amount of the tourist tax (IFA) listed on it will not be modified later by the Apartment House. Therefore, the IFA will be charged according to the number of people registered by the Guest.

Only one invoice can be issued per booking, and bookings cannot be split for invoicing purposes.

The electronic invoice issued by the Apartment House is a valid tax identification document, an accounting document issued electronically in accordance with the accounting and VAT laws.

After payment of the final invoice, the Guest may not modify the billing information.

Due to the Guest’s email settings and the Apartment House's regulations, it is possible that the email containing the invoice may not appear in the inbox but in the "Spam" folder. Therefore, if the Guest does not receive the invoice after the purchase, they should immediately notify the Apartment House and check the "Spam" folder.


3. Complaint Handling

The Guest may submit a complaint regarding the service via the following contact details:

The Apartment House will investigate the complaints within 30 days and provide a substantive response.

 

4. Other Provisions

  • The accommodation may only be used for its intended purpose.
  • No noisy or large-scale events are permitted on the Apartment House premises.
  • Violation of the house rules may result in immediate eviction from the accommodation.
